Will the boot liner fit my car?
It's one size, about 185 × 105 cm laid flat, which suits most hatchback, estate and SUV boots. Measure your boot floor at its widest point and from the back of the rear seats to the boot opening, then compare with the measurements on the product page.
What's the bumper flap for?
It folds down over the back bumper while your dog jumps in and out, so claws and muddy legs land on the flap instead of your paintwork. Fold it back in before you shut the boot.
Boot or back seat?
If your dog rides in the boot, go for the boot liner. If they get the back seat, the back seat cover straps round the rear headrests. Need both? The Muddy Walk Kit has them, plus two towels.
Does a liner keep my dog safe?
No. It protects the car, not your dog. The Highway Code says dogs in vehicles should be suitably restrained, and lists a seat belt harness, pet carrier, dog cage or dog guard as ways to do it. A liner works alongside these, not instead of them.
How do I clean them?
Let the mud dry, shake it off outside, then wipe down with a damp cloth. Dried mud comes off far more easily than wet.
Any other tips?
Rinse paws before your dog gets in, and keep a towel and a bottle of water in the boot. Our guide to keeping your car clean after muddy walks has more ideas.
